Michael Bay wird einen Film namens "Cosmic Motors" produzieren und eventuell auch dabei Regie führen. Kyle Ward ("Agent 47", "Machete Kills") wurde als Drehbuchautor verpflichtet. Interessant dabei: Der Film ist eigentlich eine Buchverfilmung. Allerdings ist das formgebende Buch kein Buch im herkömmlichen Sinne sondern eine Sammlung von Auto-Concept-Arts, die der Künstler Daniel Simon ("Oblivion", "Prometheus", "Tron:Legacy") geschaffen hat. Die Arts sind allesamt von futuristischen Wagenvarianten mitsamt ein paar Erklärungen dazu. Idealer Nährboden für Bays Autoliebe, zumal die Synopsis sich passend liest:
